Shefali is a National Award-winning actress with a career spanning over two decades across various genres and formats. She has given power packed performances in films such as Satya, Monsoon Wedding, Gandhi, My Father, Dil Dhadakne Do and Once Again. Sengupta appeared in the horror film 1920 (2008), playing Mohan Kanta, the antagonist. During this time, he also appeared in TV serials like Maayka: Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka (2007).
