“Sindhutai Majhi Mai – Goshta Chindhichi” is the full name of this serial. Based on the life story of the late and renowned social worker Sindhutai Sapkal, the serial was released on Colors Marathi on August 15, 2023.
Sindhutai Sapkal is referred to as Mai or Mother of Orphans. Sindhu Tai had to face early marriage and abandonment in her early twenties despite living in adverse circumstances. She had to drop out of education at a young age and was married to an older man.
She began her remarkable journey by adopting orphaned children and caring for them, giving them the love and nurturing they need.
Over the years, Sindhutai raised and nurtured 1500 more orphans. She became a beacon of love and hope for others, and her selfless service to human beings did not go unnoticed.
She was honored with the prestigious Padma Shri award for her remarkable contribution. The ups and downs of Sindhutai’s life and her entire life story were presented in this serial.
